This is great news across the board. I would love for Republicans to learn that green energy policy is good politics. Our complacency on climate change remains one of my chief concerns about the next two years with this administration.

Trump raised the tariffs on Chinese solar panels, but wasn’t that an attempt to encourage US production? I’m surprised Musk/Tesla isn’t building industrial-grade solar panels to provide behind-the-meter power for the data centers going up in the South and West.

How badly did Trump hurt our EV manufacturing by killing the tax credit and badmouthing the business (influencing his base)? GM, Ford, and Stellantis have written down >$50 billion, and they aren’t done yet. Will the Ford Fathom turn the tide? It seems to me that the future of transportation is electric, and 2029 may be too late for the Big Three.
